It was founded by Nermin Magdy Badr, a writer and editor in children’s literature, and has been working on encouraging children to read and tell stories since 2011 in various forms.
What are we currently doing and how?
We call for the importance of joint and individual reading for children through various means
different:
Collect experiences, expertise, and research that explain the importance of reading to children.
Providing ideas that help the educator form a relationship between the child and the book.
Providing techniques to help talk and discuss books with children.
Nominating types of books suitable for different categories of children.
Providing some auxiliary means such as:
Storytelling strategies course
A buzzy guide to post-reading discussions
Hadiths written colloquially for bedtime
Activities and games related to some books
Articles about reading to children, short videos for educators, and stories for children.
We aspire for shared reading to be a habit from birth in every Arab home, and our goal is to introduce the importance of reading for pleasure.
