Welcome to the Tanoon website. I will quickly tell you chapters of my colorful story, a journey full of passion, imagination, and the joy of exciting young minds.
I began my adventure as a teaching assistant in the College of Pharmacy, and the joy of solving chemical puzzles with students was the beginning of my love for teaching.
While I was studying for my master's degree, there was a magical moment when I saw pure joy in the eyes of my 3-year-old daughter while she was listening to her favorite story from a book. This spark ignited a mission in my heart, which is to spread joy through good Arabic literature.
In 2011 in Egypt, specifically in Cairo, in the Maadi neighborhood, I established a children’s library and cultural center – a cultural place filled with children’s books, with shadow fantasy shows, hosting writers, storytelling workshops, and trips.
Then my passion to encourage students to read in Arabic from local books and build bridges of interaction between Egyptian writers, illustrators and children led me to launch a national reading competition in Cairo. Through it, participants read various books and then display their literary and artistic creations, under the supervision of creative writers and painters in workshops with children.
This competition succeeded in attracting private school students for two consecutive sessions, and the closing ceremonies crowned the efforts of the students, the work team, and the judging committees.
I traveled with my family and my newborn children to open new chapters of my life in Jordan. There I discovered my love for cycling and traveled throughout Jordan. I enjoyed volunteer work at the Children’s Museum and attending writing workshops with influential figures in children’s literature in both Arabic and English.
There I also began my work journey as a literary editor at Alia Publishing House next to the wonderful Wiam Ahmed, where I participated in the production of twenty children’s books, some of which were nominated and won awards at the level of the Arab world, in addition to the love of young readers.
In 2022, I published my first book (Koriya Je Nalaweh) in partnership with my friend Rania Badda and Alia Publishing House.
I have subsequently published 5 children's books:
Hibiscus
Korean, Naluyeh

She moved to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and obtained a degree in child mental health from Stanford University, and in the corridors of the Sharjah Book Fair, the idea of “Tanoon” was born, an initiative to support families and teachers to raise a reading child in the Middle East, in which international research from various countries was mixed with practical experiences to be A lamp that guides parents and teachers.
While I also volunteer to tell stories in schools and public libraries with UAE Bby, and study to become a Certified Family Coach ready to provide guidance in raising confident readers, my mission is clear – make reading a daily joy for our children.
In addition, I immersed myself in advanced studies, and prepared to begin my Master's in Children's Literature. This academic pursuit is not only to expand my knowledge, but also to raise the quality of the stories I share with children's minds.
Through TannoonBooks, I aspire to create a haven where parents and teachers find valuable resources, courses, and most importantly, a supportive community.
My dream is not only to see children reading in parks or while waiting for their turn anywhere, but also to see parents enthusiastically reading every day and every night to their children.
