“Tannoon” is an initiative to raise a child reader
It was founded by Nermeen Magdy Badr to support families and educators in the Middle East to raise a child reader.
It mixes scientific research with practical experiences and aims to make shared reading essential in every home and school.
The word Tannoon means Hummingbird in Arabic.
These are courses offered free of charge, directed to everyone who deals with children and aim to develop and spread the child’s cognitive awareness of reading from birth.
