Tareeq Alza3ter boardgame

Why Tareeq Alza3ter?

This game was created to help children and adolescents make an informed purchasing decision for the sake of principles we believe in, the most important of which is preventing support for the war on the Palestinian people. The game is a path in which each player competes to reach Jerusalem, the final station, first, and as a culmination of his victory, he enters the map of Palestine and visits Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Game components:

Steps to prepare the game:

Print the board in either A2 size
Or into four A4-sized sections and paste them together (both sizes are available for download)
Print the station cards so that one side is on the various cards and the other side is on the background with stations and an olive branch graphic written on it.
After printing the cards on A4 paper, each sheet is cut into 8 cards.
2 sheets of icons are printed and cut (19 icons)
The transportation sheet is printed and some pieces are cut according to the number of players, or any small figure is used. Each player has a different shape.
Bring a dice or any alternative to numbers.

the way of playing :

1- The game is played by two, three or four players
2- Each player chooses a form of transportation or any small figure to play with.
3- Players shuffle the station cards and place them on the back side in place on the board.
4- The players stand at the starting point and the game begins by throwing a dice.
5- The player advances steps by the number of points that appear.
6- Then he draws a card from the “stations” cards. He reads what is required of him in the card instructions and implements them.
7- Read the entire paragraph on the card that appears, as it contains important information
8- The card instructions may be in the player’s favor, making him advance, or obtain an icon or privilege.
9- The card’s instructions may be against the player’s interest, causing him to go backwards or lose a certain privilege.
10-If the keffiyeh card appears, the player who obtained it keeps it and is exempted from going back once.
11- If the Palestinian flag card appears, the player takes two steps forward.
12- Each of the Palestinian cities on the Zaatar Road gives an icon to the first player who settles there, and the icon is not given when passing through the city without settling. This means, for example, if the dice shows the number five and the player is at the starting line. The player advances five steps and reaches Safed, and obtains the olive icon because he was the first to settle in Safed.
13- Assuming that the player at the starting line throws a dice and the number 6 appears, he passes through Safed and stops one step after it, but he does not get the olive icon.
14- There is one icon for each city, which is obtained only by the first person who reaches the city and settles in it.
15- If a player settles in a city after being shown a card asking him to move back, he is not entitled to obtain the city icon because he is penalized.

How the game ends:
With the arrival of the first player to Jerusalem

Who's the winner:
He is the first player to reach Jerusalem, enter the map of Palestine, and reach Al-Aqsa.

What is the ranking of the rest of the players:
If more than two players are playing, the remaining players are ranked in positions according to the number of icons they own. The one with the most icons comes in second place, then the one with the least icons comes third, and so on

questions and answers :
1- Do I get the icon after rolling the dice or after reading the station?
You can get it in both cases. For example, if you roll the dice and move and stop at number 75, you get a Jaffa icon and then pull a station. Likewise, if you stand at 73 and then pull a station that asks you to advance two steps, you will then stop at 75 and take a Jaffa icon. But if you are at 73 and pull a station that asks you to move back. 3 steps and I stopped at 70 and you cannot get the LOD icon.
2- What is the benefit of icons?
Its usefulness appears when more than two players are playing because it determines the positions of the players, so the first one is the one who reaches Jerusalem first, and then the one after him according to the number of icons for each player.
3- Can more than 4 players play?
Yes, it is possible, but by using pieces to move outside the game.
4- Does everything written on the station cards fit my opinions?
You can read all the cards before the game and remove what you are not convinced of before showing them to your children.
