Activity (Paper Poetry Theater)

If you are an educator or teacher and are interested in having the child have a taste and love for Arabic poetry, then this activity is an excellent way to do that. I have tried it since 2011 with hundreds of children aged 6-11 years and it has proven tremendous success in introducing the child to poetry, simplifying it, and also making him enjoy the experience, which results in him being willing to read it and learn about it more. after that.
Reading poetry in general helps children appreciate thoughts and feelings through figurative language, and gives them a deeper understanding of stories outside their life experiences by opening a window into the thoughts of others, thus developing empathy and a human perspective.
In the activity, I will rely on the poems of the prince of poets, Ahmed Shawqi, who wrote many poems for children, which are available in print through several publishing houses.
The activity will allow you to download the poem, pictures, how to read it, and also how to make the theater, which will be used repeatedly with more than one poem.
